HVAC QUESTIONS
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHEN YOUR AC NEEDS SERVICING?
If your AC system has any of the following issues you may be in need of repair:
- Strange odors inside your home.
- Banging noises in your AC unit.
- Warm air blowing in your home.
- Frequent cycling on and off of your unit
- Higher than normal indoor humidity.
If any of the above issues sound familiar to you we recommend contacting a licensed HVAC professional to diagnose your AC problems.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON’T SERVICE YOUR AIR CONDITIONER?
Ignoring regular AC maintenance or failing to have it performed can result in mechanical or electrical failure as well as a shorter life for your system. AC maintenance helps to keep your unit operating efficiently as well as allows a certified heating and air technician to diagnose the problems with your AC system before they become large issues. We recommend semi-annual maintenance on AC systems. Once in the spring and once in the fall, this allows your AC system to keep your home comfortable.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REPAIR AN AC UNIT?
The cost to repair an AC unit can vary based on the area you live in and the issue with your unit. Most heating and air companies will charge a service charge to diagnose your air conditioning problem as well as a service fee to perform the repairs. Resolving an air conditioning problem quickly can help save you other repairs down the road. If you are unsure if you need AC repair we recommend calling an HVAC professional to look over your unit.
WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY AIR CONDITIONER?
The lifespan of most air conditioning systems is between 10 and 15 years. AC systems that have had regular maintenance performed tend to last longer than systems that have not had regular maintenance. If you are unsure if you need a new air conditioner we recommend calling an air conditioning professional for a free system replacement estimate. A licensed professional can work with you to determine the size and SEER of the unit that is right for your family.
HOW DOES SEER RATING WORK?
A SEER rating for an air conditioning system or heat pump measures its ability to cool your home as efficiently as possible. This is calculated by the cooling output divided by the total electrical energy input during the same time. The term SEER stands for seasonal energy efficiency rating. It is used in the HVAC industry by professionals to determine which AC system is right for you.
How can I get a free estimate for a new system?
One of our technicians will visit your home and conduct a full analysis of your current system, including piping, rooms to be cooled, distance from unit to rooms, etc. After the analysis, you will receive our recommendation for a new unit based on your needs and budgetary requirements.
Do we offer commercial servicing agreements?
Yes, we encourage businesses to take advantage of our preventive maintenance agreements. We will schedule servicing around your business schedule so that it will disrupt your work as little as possible.
Do we offer financing?
If you are replacing your old air conditioner with a new one, we can help you with financing. Financing is not available for servicing or repairs.
What forms of payment do we accept?
We accept all forms of payment: cash, personal check, American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
